JMan:
Although this team has a new head coach in Norv Turner and still has a number of veterans with renewed spirit and added well in the off season, feeling here is that the teams best days are behind them. Gannon may be the starter although Collins will push him for that spot. Playing in the AFC West with Kansas City, Denver and San Diego, I project them to finish most likely third within the division, second at best. Their road schedule includes the Colts, Panthers, Broncos, Falcons and Chiefs as well as home games against Tennessee and Jacksonville. Plus many of the remaining games will be no walk in the park. Really see this team hovering around 8-8 plus or minus a game which just won't get it done trying to reach the playoffs in the AFC.
As a side note, across the Bay, fully expect the 49ers to have a long season. Simply not a talented team any longer and never have been enamoured with Dennis Erickson. Should battle Arizona trying to stay out of the division cellar.
Just my thoughts. Hope that helps out a bit.
